The regular season has now ended and all teams are now operating under our playoff practice policy in which all indoor practices are prohibited. Outdoor practices are allowed for those teams that remain in the playoffs.
To view playoff schedules for all age groups, please click on the "Schedule/Scores" Tab above and choose the particular age division tab of interest. Click on the bracket for a larger view.
Playoff basketball is a great experience for our players. While the games are exciting to watch, the atmosphere in the gym can be intense. Please make this time enjoyable for our players by being respectful to opposing players, coaches, fans, and above all, to our officials at all times. We remind you that any player or coach that receives two technical fouls in a game, or is ejected from the game will receive, at a minimum, an automatic 1 game suspension. We are not suspending this rule just because we are in the playoffs. If a player or coach gets suspended for the Championship game, we will enforce this. Any parent or spectator that gets tossed out of the gym will also receive a minimum one game suspension from attending games.
To ensure all games run smoothly, we ask that you help us enforce the following:
1. Players MUST wear their current season, JTAA Basketball uniform. No uniform, they do not play.
2. Only coaches (2) wearing their shirt are allowed on the bench. Non-playing kids are prohibited from being on the bench.
3. Only players playing in the game are allowed on the court. Please, no shooting in-between quarters or at halftime.
4. Dribbling basketballs, or any ball, in the gym while a game is being played is strictly prohibited and will result in being removed from the gym.
As many of you know, the JTAA Basketball season ends with Championship Saturday, a day in which all age divisions hold their championship games under one roof, one day. This is a great opportunity to support our players as they finish another season. We are asking all parents to come watch games even if your child is not playing in a championship game. If you do have a child playing in a championship game, we ask that you come early to watch the game scheduled before your game and stay late to watch the game after your game.
Our goal is to the pack the bleachers for each game so our kids, who work so hard during the season, experience playing in front of loud, well behaved, crowded spectators. We request your assistance in making it happen. Invite everyone you know!
We hope to see everyone at the courts over the next two weeks.
