The JTAA Jupiter Jaguar Travel Basketball recently became a Network Partner with On Court Player Development (http://www.oncourtonline.com) . This Partnership delivers a tremendous resource to our organization, coaches, players and parents known as Skills2Score, a structured curriculum organized to emphasize individual skill development. As a kick off to our Network Partnership we have scheduled a clinic for all travel basketball coaches, players and parents.
ALL TRAVEL BASKETBALL COACHES AND ASSISTANT COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS CLINIC AS THE CIRRICULUM FROM SKILLS2SCORE WILL BE UTILIZED IN YOUR PRACTICE ADGENDAS THIS WINTER AND SPRING.
Please come and join us on November 14, 2009 to see and participate in some of the core skill development drills demonstrated by Kevin Cantwell, the Director of On Court Player Development and David Zimroth, Florida Market Director. Each player will receive instruction from Kevin Cantwell with 27 years of coaching experience and former Head Coach at Appalachian State University and Associate Head Basketball Coach at Georgia Tech. Kevin will direct the participants in a high energy and unique skills clinic that is revitalizing Grassroots Basketball. The drills (footwork, ball handing, passing, and shooting) that each player will learn can be taken home and utilized on a consistent basis to hopefully get youngsters from liking the game to loving the game. It is our belief that when a player truly loves the game he or she will work on individual skill development on their own time.
Assisting Coach Cantwell will be David Zimroth (Coach “Z”) who has 25 years of coaching experience as an Assistant Coach at the University of Georgia, Florida State University, and the University of South Florida. Together, Cantwell and Zimroth bring over 50 years of coaching experience along with the development of over 20 NBA players and countless other collegiate stars.
Cost: $30.00 – Pre -registration is recommended as we are limiting the clinic to the first 100 players signed up.
