2008 FALL SEASON

RALLEYBALL STUDENT TENNIS

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS GRADES 1 - 8 

FALL 2008 Season will be September 27 to November 8, 2008
 


REGISTER NOW TO PLAY!

The USA Team Tennis Ralleyball format is designed to allow ALL children to play the game of tennis in an easy and fun way. Learn the game... be on a team with friends...and have a great time! 
 
No Tennis Experience is Necessary!! Level I format offered for all younger players. Level I for grades 1 & 2 players. Level I format consists of Coach ball toss to players, one-point at a time scoring, 10 minute timed sets, continuous rotation. Parent Coaches use professional tennis curriculum for practices.

Level II & Level III allow the learning players to work on their skills. Parent Coaches follow professional tennis curriculum for practices. Players work on their serve skills and court movement. Level II for grades 3 & 4 players. Level II consists of three 15 minute sets, ball put into play by player with a bounce hit or serve to receiving court, rotation on continuous basis. Level III for grades 5-8 players. Level III consists of three 15 minute sets, ball put into play with bounce hit or serve into receiving court service box, rotation in two-minute intervals.
 

Higher level challenges offered for experienced players to play traditional tennis matches. Level IV includes traditional overhead serve and set scoring. Players must be able to SERVE (overhead) in order to participate in this level. For 5th through 8th grade players who already have tennis experience. Level IV consists of 4 players to a team, doubles format, two 6-game sets, traditional no-ad scoring, and total games to determine outcome.

Participation on a Student Tennis Team in the USA Team Tennis Ralleyball Format will provide a safe, healthful, fun activity in a sport that can be enjoyed; on a High School Tennis Team, in College through a scholarship, for a lifetime. 

Teams are now being formed in the following age and level divisions:
Level I grade 1&2 registration is automatic entry into this level. Cost $80.00 
Level II grade 3 & 4 registration is automatic entry into this level, Cost $80.00 
Level III grade 5 & 6 registration is automatic entry into this level. Cost $80.00 
Level III grades 7 & 8 registration is automatic entry into this level. Cost $80.00 
Level IV grades 5 & 6 must elect this level. Cost is $80.00 
Level IV grades 7 & 8 must elect this level. Cost is $80.00 

 Teams will have a practice each week where skills will be taught by a Parent Coach, followed by a match, within their age division. Practices, with match play following, will be held at Jupiter High School.

All practices and matches will be held on Saturday mornings during the season. 

Students will be on a team with their peers and compete within their age division. USA Team Tennis is a uniquely modified format to allow kids to be successful in tennis, right away. The philosophy of USA Team Tennis Ralleyball is to have students be introduced to the sport of tennis and grow in skill, self-confidence, and team spirit throughout the season. 

All Players will be given a T-Shirt uniform. No equipment is needed to participate. Racquets are provided for use during season!

EVERYONE PLAYS!!

PARENTS NEEDED!

*Parents are needed to help coach their child’s team. All coaching information and training is provided. A step by step, graphically illustrated, teaching manual is provided, a coaching clinic is conducted by United States Tennis Association (USTA) representative and a certified teaching professional prior to season start.
