JTAA Soccer Programs

The JTAA Soccer program is comprised of two distinct playing levels:

Overview:
Our goal is provide a developmental path for youth players. All of these programs offer various options for players and parents. These programs operate in conjunction with each other and the ability to transition between levels is a seamless process.  Each level is designed to deliver a specific skill set and playing environment for the players, teams, and parents. Both programs are outlined at the left. For more information, please visit www.jtaa.org.

Training
There are 3 weekly playing opportunities for the players. At the beginning of the season there are two practices during the week with a game on Saturday. Mid –season there is one practice during the week and two weekly games. This level provides basic skills training for players and coaches. We utilize our internal experience and expertise along with several sessions provided by professional trainers.

OUR MISSION
We want to introduce players and parents to the wonderful sport of soccer, the most popular sport in the world. Soccer is gaining momentum in the United States, thanks to more and more children having the opportunity to learn and play it, along with the success of the men’s and women’s national teams in World Cup play. We also want our players to learn the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship. Our philosophy as a recreational  league is we exist to teach the game of soccer to players of all skill levels while providing those players and parents with a fun, rewarding experience. Therefore, these are the goals that will guide all our actions:
To have fun , to learn the game , and to exhibit good sportsmanship.

Season Dates:
September 1 through 3rd Saturday in November.

Registration opens Mid-may

Is travel soccer a huge commitment of time for my child and family?
Most Sting travel teams practice twice a week for approximately an hour and a half, with usually one league game on the weekend.  Teams do choose to play in tournaments during the season when it does not affect their league play.

How far do we have to travel?
Most league games are within a one-hour drive from Jupiter.  Teams (coaches & families) will choose how far they want to travel for tournaments.

How much time is my child going to play in each game?
Jupiter Sting Travel Soccer is a competitive soccer program and is not for every child or family.  Competitive soccer is designed to develop a player’s skills, athletic ability and competitive drive for future growth in the game.  Coaches and trainers will try to develop these skill sets, but in doing so may find that some athletes may not be developing as quickly, and will not get as much playing time, as it makes the team’s overall development less competitive.  This is not about winning; it is the development of a competitive drive.

What makes Travel/Competitive soccer different then recreational soccer?
Recreational soccer is focused on the equal playing in a non-competitive, social playing experience for youth soccer.  Travel Soccer is designed to develop players’ passion, skill and level of competition, through professional trainers, dedicated volunteers and a specific standard level of competition.
