12U Hammerheads Take Home The Trophy In The 2nd Annual Jupiter Holiday Wood Bat Tournament!

The 12U Jupiter Hammerheads fought off a late comeback surge by Team Easton in the championship game to win the 2nd Annual Jupiter Holiday Wood Bat Tournament with a score of 11-7. Throughout the tournament, every member of the Hammerhead squad contributed with strong play both offensively and defensively. The wood bats quieted most offenses, but only proved to change the sound of huge hits by the Hammerhead batters. Highlights of the weekend include a pitching staff that only gave up 11 walks and 8 runs in 5 games, a 3 homerun inning with some game balls still yet to be found, and phenomenal run saving diving catches in the outfield. Next up is a well-deserved break before embarking on a sure to be successful spring season.

11U Hammerheads shut out Okeeheelee Vipers 1-0 in Championship game during Okeeheelee Halloween Bash!

It was a total team effort that allowed the Hammerheads to defeat the Okeeheelee Vipers in a pitcher’s duel. Chuckie Fishbaugh pitched a complete game shutout on his way to the victory. Excellent defensive plays from Julian DeGaetano, Domenico Galluzzo, Blake Bautko, and catcher Jake Grogins helped seal the win. The only run of the game was scored when Julian DeGaetano grounded hard to third base handcuffing the fielder and scoring the would-be winning run from third.

Jupiter 11u Hammerheads pitchers Brock Berkman, Chuckie Fishbaugh, Domenico Galluzzo, Blake Bautko and Jake Garland dominated the tournament only allowing 6 runs in five games. Offensively the Hammerheads bats were hot, scoring a total of 29 runs for entire tournament.

Hammerheads finish their season with 11-3-1.

14U Jupiter Hammerheads win USSSA Treasure Coast Championship in Port St. Lucie, Florida

The 14U Jupiter Hammerheads took their #1 division ranking into the 2011 usssa playoffs at the Mets Stadium in Pt. St Lucie Fl this past weekend and did not disappoint. The Hammerheads dominated all the way through the championship game giving up a total of 5 runs in the tournament. With a total team effort they were able to win the championship with a score of 7-2. The 14U Hammerheads have been dominant all season with outstanding fundamental baseball, timely hits and a dominant pitching squad that not only featured some of the best right handed pitchers, but also 4 Left handed pitchers that were dominant on the mound. Kyle Radice and Mack Lemieux both hit Home Runs in excess of 350ft to cap off the season. The 14u Hammerheads are: Tyler Bowman, Trevor Brueningsen, Devin Curran, Shawn Howarth, Jonathan Jerez, Mack Lemieux, Brock Minich, Devin Nelson, Kyle Radice, Jordi Sallent, Hunter Whitman, Collin Wojtusik.

11U JUPITER HAMMERHEADS win Sunshine State SUPER NIT in Coral Springs, Florida

The 11U Jupiter Hammerheads, led by Scott Mazur, Eddie Gaillard and Chris Ward, outscored the competition in the Super NIT Tournament in Coral Springs, Florida 50-9 in 5 games. The Hammerheads pitching dominated the competition by allowing only 9 runs in 5 games. Tyler Ward, Austin Temple, Brett Steel, Dakota Gaillard, Conner Dunnam, Reese Albert and Logan Othmer held the competition to a .175 batting average with their outstanding pitching. The Hammerheads also posted a stellar .487 team batting average with solid performances by Reese Albert, Zach Mazur, Austin Temple, Conner Dunnam and Coy Mawhorr. Timmy Kudlinski had a big contribution with a key bunt in the Championship game to help fortify the lead. Their victory qualified them for the USSSA World Series in Orlando Florida. Way to go Hammerheads!!
